The certificate in Pre-Medical is designed for Biomedical Sciences majors who wish to pursue a career as a physician through an accredited MD or DO-awarding institution. It can also be completed by any other major, provided they have completed the necessary prerequisite coursework. Students should complete at least 35 credits from the following:

Chemistry

18-20 credits

CH 334 - Organic Chemistry I 3 credits and CH 337 - Organic Chemistry Lab I 3 credits
CH 335 - Organic Chemistry II 3 credits and CH 338 - Principles of Organic Chemistry Laboratory / CH 340 - Organic Spectroscopy
CH 336 - Organic Chemistry III 3 credits
CH 350 - Principles of Biochemistry 4 credits or CH 451 - Biochemistry I 3 credits

Biology

BI 314 - Comparative Animal Physiology 4 credits with lab
